Title- Lie
Written by- Caroline bock
Genre- A suspense novel

Lie is a book about a 17 year old girl named Skylar, who is dating an older boy named Jimmy. Jimmy is the bad boy stereotype who gets himself into trouble. He gets into an argument with a couple of Salvadorian brothers from the next town over and then he gets accused for badly hurting them. Skylar is a smart; when she gets brought to the police station for questioning, she keeps quiet. She doesn’t want to be a part of what happened and she doesn’t want to turn her boyfriend in; she’s just a young girl who kind of gets dragged into this whole mess and tries to figure out how to get out. As she tries her best to protect Jimmy, she slowly realizes that she is putting herself in jeopardy and she is starting to feel guilty for the whole thing.
Skylar and jimmy get caught up in a big web of lies when they are interrogated at the police station. Skylar should be at school right now she exclaims, yet she and Jimmy are stuck at the police station being questioned harshly. The police man says, “No one hurts two Mexican men just for fun” especially not someone who has a lot going for themselves. So that’s just crazy talk. But in fact it might not be so crazy after all. Two guys are brutally hurt and someone is behind this.
The neighbors start to question Skylar and she denies that a fight happened when in fact it did, and what she doesn’t know was that the neighbor saw but doesn’t tell her.
This book is based on a true even that took place. And Caroline bock is expressing how it all happened in the first place.
Recommendations- I recommend this book to anyone who likes mystery stories with such high suspense. This book is exciting and has many twists. It really caught my attention and is a really great book.

                           Summary

John Coffey is the main character. He was convicted of a crime. John was convicted that he murdered two young girls. But did he really? He was placed in the Cold Mountains. John is about to gain a new and crazy insight about his life in prison. The year he was in prison was back in the day in 1932. When the Americans was in the great depression and when life back than so hard and so bitter a lot of people had the most difficult time in their life. He finds himself in a nightmare.
Yes, I would recommend this book. You should read this book if you’re in to creepy, disturbing, crazy stuff. In this prison you will see a lot of strange things like rats, mice’s crawling around choking an officer it was just so normal to see that happen.
John Coffey size was so unbelievable and unusually compare to others.  The warden wanted to make sure it wasn’t an “optical illusion. It was real six feet, eight inches…he had to have been three hundred and twenty, maybe as much as three hundred and fifty pounds.” Although he is big in sizes he has  the sweetest personality.
Yes, was it was really interesting because you can see how life was in prison in the 1932.Overall it was a great Thriller and suspense book. You will be shocked to see what happens next!
